Targett emerges as sprint king

Melbourne Sports Hub ambassador Matt Targett has singled he is out to make a splash in 2012 after three strong wins at the weekends Swimming Victoria State Title Championships at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre.

Targett's stand out weekend was topped off by winning the 100m Freestyle almost a second ahead of the field and the 50m dash in 22.23sec from Vicentre swimmer Cameron Prosser.

Beijing Olympian Targett will have his eyes firmly set on success at the 2012 Australian Swimming Championships in March and a spot on the 2012 London Olympics Australian swimming  team.
