Melbourne Vicentre

Based at MSAC, Melbourne Vicentre is one of Australia’s leading swimming clubs. The Club program provides a comprehensive pathway for all swimmers.  From its entry level Development Squads through to State, National and the International Squad, Melbourne Vicentre (MVC) offers many opportunities for the developing swimmer. 

The foundation of and entry to the MVC Program is the Development Squad where swimmers have the opportunity to consolidate technique, build fitness and work within a team and club environment. This is the time swimmers are also introduced to swimming competitions.

Each term, Melbourne Vicentre Coaches assess MSAC Swim School’s squad program participants and offer some the opportunity to join Vicentres’ Development Squad.

Headed by nine-time “Victorian Swimming Coach of the Year” and Australian Olympic Team Coach, Ian Pope, Melbourne Vicentre has been home to more than 80% of Victoria’s Olympians since 1988.
